To decide what you want to do in life at an early age is a gift, to then act upon that knowledge from then on, makes it a calling. Make no mistake about it...Corey Craig chose acting, and once that decision was made, he never looked back. After the passing of his father at the tender age of six, Corey became a rambunctious troublemaker in school. He grew up an only child in Lincoln, Nebraska, until, in the eight-grade, he stumbled upon the one place where his boisterousness was accepted and encouraged: Theatre Class. Two and a half years later, Corey was accepted into the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. This led his mother and unwavering supporter, Dessa, and Corey to journey 1,500 miles to California. Corey thrived his Junior and Senior years. He won 1st Place, Comedic Scene, at the Role About Festival and won the Outstanding Student in TV/Film's Gold Medal from the Los Angeles County ROP Program. He was also chosen to represent the Theatre Department as featured speaker at his graduation ceremony. After graduation, Corey landed an internship at Warner Bros., which led to stints with Silver Pictures, Damon Wayans' Amara Films, and led to writing and acting work with HDFilms. His stage and film credits include performances in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Escape From Happiness, Wild Night, After You, Finding the Burnett Heart, The Most Girl Part of You, and Two Million Stupid Women. Determined to be a well-rounded and versatile performer, Corey actively studies his craft. He is currently studying at the SAG Conservatory located at the American Film Institute, and is enrolled in The Groundlings School in Hollywood. Acting presents new challenges for Corey every step of the way, which is why his love for it is so strong...he looks forward to engaging his mind and body, in each new role. Armed with a fearless and positive intuition, he has the ability to perform any role to the fullest. Once, a teenager destined for juvenile detention, his passion and unstoppable drive made for one miraculous turnaround. It's no doubt that Corey Craig has a bright and adventurous future ahead of him.
