Krystal Monique Harris was born and raised in various parts of Northern California. Moving from the urban Bay Area to a ranch style home on eighteen acres of rural Nevada County to the single family home and suburban lifestyle in Stockton and Sacramento, Harris was exposed to many different types of people, lifestyles, and cultures. She discovered a love for real people, their lives and their stories. At an early age, she began dancing and studied with two prestigious dance companies in Sacramento. In 2006 she relocated Southern California to continue her training and pursue a degree in dance from California State University, Los Angeles. In 2007 she suffered an injury that temporarily hindered her dance training and forced her to withdraw from the dance program. She changed her major to English with a focus on Creative Writing. All of her previous passion for dance, she now poured into writing. Producing short stories, spec scripts, and developing web and television content, Harris fostered her creative abilities and strengthened her signature style. After college, Harris began teaching herself scriptwriting and learning about the television pitch process. In 2009 she pitched an original television series that she had been working on during her years in college to a major television network. She was 21 years old. In 2010 she got her first co-star role on a hit television show. She has modeled for huge brands and her ads have been placed in stores all around the country. Harris is no stranger to hard work and her perseverance and single-minded dedication to her goals have led to many accomplishments in her short time in Los Angeles. She is represented across the board by Abrams Artists, and by DDO for Dance, and works closely with her manager Kim Matuka of Schuller Talent to further her enterprising goal to share her creative vision through the medium of film and television.
