Justin Dobies is known for his work on Dear White People (2014).
Graduated from Yale University with Distinction in Theater Studies. In the summer of 2012 Justin built a raft and rafted down the Mississippi River from Minneapolis to New Orleans with one of his brothers. Is the oldest of six children. Founded the Yale College Original Shakespeare Company where he served as Artistic Director for two years. As high school valedictorian, he was accepted to the USC School of Cinematic Arts but instead opted to study acting at Yale University while also training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and taking classes at the Yale School of Drama. Founded the Yale College Theatrical Combat Association where he choreographed fights for over 30 theatrical productions. At age 13, his short film "Goals" won the award for Best Documentary in the Stages Theater Film Festival. He has backpacked in Alaska and horse-packed through Yellowstone National Park. Lived in a Celtic monastery and as a volunteer in a transitional home for homeless and recovering youth.
