Ritu Singh Pande is a New York based actress and producer. Born and raised in India, her career began in fashion after earning a finalist position in the esteemed Miss India pageant. Finding her true passion, she began acting professionally in Mumbai, landing parts on various soap operas, commercials and documentary films. After migrating to the US, Ritu graduated from the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, and has continued to train and work with HB Studio and Terry Scheriber studios under the tutelage of veteran acting coaches Austin Pendelton, Terry Schrieber and Anthony Abeson. She made her New York stage acting debut with the play "Happy Hour" at the Michael Chekhov Theater Company, and her feature film debut in Festival of Lights, playing the role of Meena. The struggles of Meena and the difficult choices she makes in her life reverberates with Ritu's real life journey from a small town in India to an unexpected and adventurous life in New York. Encountering the many challenges of being a minority woman actress, Ritu was inspired to establish Durga Entertainment, an independent film production company that is currently developing a slate of feature films.
