Karen Ann Cabrera is known for Run The Tide (Feature Film) directed by Soham Mehta, starring Taylor Lautner. She is also known for her impeccable boxing and fencing skills. She started fencing in Freshman HS and during Sophomore year, she won 2nd place for the High School Girls Division. After that success, she participated in the Cebu Fencing League under her mentor, professional fencer, Brian Esguerra. Karen quickly developed a love for acting at the age of 16 when her vocal coach, who was involved with theatre, encouraged her to audition in Manila for the role of Kim in Miss Saigon 2013 (produced by Cameron Mackintosh). Although she was unsuccessful only reaching the 2nd day of callbacks, she enjoyed the experience so much that she told her parents she wanted to pursue a career of acting. She auditioned for the XFactor Philippines but was voted out during Bootcamp level. By 2013, she got scouted in Los Angeles while she was on a family vacation. After one meeting with the scout in LA, she flew to Manila. There, she opened up for the most famous rapper in the Philippines, Abra, during his first Grand Concert at the Makati Circuit. With the looks of it, Karencitta hopped on the ABRA2013 Tour with famous rappers, Abra himself, LDP, Loonie, Ron Henley, Mike Swift, J-Hon, and many more.
