Born in San Francisco, lived in Manila and raised in New York City, Sibyl has been an actress since the age of 2 with her first walk on role with mom, veteran actress Lorli Villanueva in Lino Brocka's "Maynila sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag" which was recently restored and screened as one of the Classics featured at this year's Festival de Cannes. She went on to play the role of Charlie Perez in the very popular Soap Opera "Flor de Luna" for several seasons and was a mainstay in television shows like "Kulit Bulilit" and "Kaluskos Musmos", as well as the film "Maricris Sioson: Japayuki" to name a few. As an active member of both SAG/AFTRA and Equity, she has since appeared in several film, television, and Off-Broadway productions in New York City, and is currently working on several feature films with one of New York's most respected independent film directors, John A. Gallagher. Sibyl trained and performed with the Philippine Educational Theater Association aka PETA, under the tutelage of Cecil Guidote and the late director, Lino Brocka. She has also performed in several productions at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Stage One Philippines, NYC's La Mama Etc, May-I Theater and in INTAR's "Night Over Taos", directed by Academy award winning Actress/Director Estelle Parsons. Sibyl is also a trained singer and dancer and has served as Principal Dancer for Ballet Asia in New York City and Dance Mistress/Principal Dancer for the Philippine Dance Company of New York for 14 years touring the country and abroad, including performances at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Governmental Events in Washington DC, Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall & Central Park Summer Stage. Today, she continues working on her craft with renowned acting coach Allen Savage, and is currently producing three feature films due for 2014 release.
