Elizabeth of Toro was born in 1943 in Toro, Uganda as Elizabeth Cristobel Bagaaya. She is an actress, known for Sheena - Königin des Dschungels (1984) and Things Fall Apart (1971). She was previously married to Wilbur Nyabongo.

She is of Ugandan royalty. Her family was banished from the country when Idi Amin took over. Graduated from Cambridge University in England and passed the British bar exam to become Uganda's first female barrister. Served as Uganda's United Nations reprsentative and roving ambassador. A successful Ford Agency model, she was the first black woman to appear on a Harper's Bazaar cover.
