Ramona Milano was born on November 9, 1969 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is an actress and director, known for Ein Mountie in Chicago (1994), Turbulenzen - und andere Katastrophen (1999) and Degrassi (2001). She has been married to Fabio D'Agostino since June 25, 1994. They have two children.
During her pregnancy, Ramona continued to play the role of Francesca until Due South concluded production in March 1998, so you will see her covering her pregnancy with a lot of file folders and strategic placement of office furniture. Auditioned for the Due South TV movie in 1993, and used her own background of coming from a Mediterranean family to enhance her audition of the feisty and divorced "Francesca Vecchio". She won the role, which she considered to be a one-shot deal, and was delighted to come back as a recurring character when the movie became a TV series. After graduation, she worked for 18 months at a Toronto advertising agency before going after a full-time acting career. Before entering the drama program at Humber College, Ramona put her skills to use as a singer/dancer at Canada's Wonderland theme park. Graduated from the Etobicoke School of the Arts in 1987 Ramona and her husband were pondering a move to Los Angeles to further her acting career when she became pregnant in September 1997. After wrapping with her recurring role on Showcase's television series, Crash & Burn, Milano stepped into another recurring role on Canada's longest running hit series, Degrassi as Audra Torres, helicopter mom to characters Drew and Adam Torres. Milano acted as Audra Torres from 2010-2014. For over a decade, Ramona taught, directed, and tutored kids/teens out of her own Suburban Vortex Drama Studio. She continued to work with acting students in Vaughan from 2013-2014 before producing and directing for The Incubator Studio in 2014.
