Daniela Escobar was born on January 16, 1969 in São Borja, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil as Daniela Escobar Duncan. She is an actress and writer, known for O Clone (2001), América (2005) and Another Forever - Die Stille um Alice (2016). She was previously married to Jayme Monjardim .
Has a son, with Jayme Monjardim named André Matarazzo (born June 14th 1998). She was the host for 6 years of a TV show called "Super Bonita" (Super Beautiful). In 1990 studied acting with Wolf Maya and in 1992 with Cecil Thiré . In 1997 she went to New York where she studied theater in John Starsberg Studios. Made her debut as a professional theater actress in 1989 in the play "Os XII Trabalhos de Hércules". Made her debut in cinema in the short motion picture _Ritinha_ in 1996 and in the long motion picture O Dono do Mar (2004) in 2004. Her mother is Lucia Iara Tatsch Guimarães. Has 3 younger siblings: Alexandre, Ana Beatriz and Giovana and one younger half-brother from her father second marriage to Nara named João Carlos. She is a German and Portuguese descendant on her mother's side and a Spanish and Scottish descendant on her father's side. She has a son. Studied acting in Casa de Artes das Laranjeiras (CAL) in 1990. In 1989 Daniela studied in O Tablado (theater school in Rio de Janeiro) of Maria Clara Machado . At the age of 19 moved to Rio de Janeiro. Moved with her family to Porto Alegre when she was 10. She was 14 when her parents (João Carlos and Lucia) split.
