Peggy is a descendant of the first non-native inhabitant of New Orleans, 10 years before the city was founded. Antoine Rivard dit LaVigne was granted land by Bienville and his land is now The New Orleans Fairgrounds, site of Jazz Fest. Peggy makes a very brief appearance as the First Lady of Texas, Nellie Connally in the film Parkland (2013). The Presidential Limo used in the scene was an authentic 1960's convertible limo and was literally held together with wire and duct tape on set. It caught fire between takes. Peggy performed in high school musicals in her hometown of New Orleans, working with director Sonny Borey. Recent stage work includes the original production of the Civil War drama "Sisters Under the Skin" in which Peggy portrayed historic figure Varina Davis and the role of Bessie in "Marvin's Room".
