Susan Ward was born on April 15, 1976 in Monroe, LA. An animal lover as a child, she grew up wanting to become a veterinarian. Until she was 13, that was what she wanted to do, but a local modeling agent changed her mind. Susan as well as her mother, traveled through New York, to see about getting Susan a modeling job. It seems that Susan thought it was a good way to earn money, that way, she would be able to finance her way into veterinary training. But, within their week long trip to New York, Susan had already signed onto a contract with Ford Modeling Agency. After appearing in many print ads, she decided to study acting. Which lead to a recurring role on "All My Children" (1970). Later, she starred alongside Keri Russell and Charisma Carpenter, on the night-time soap, "Malibu Shores" (1996) which was directed by Aaron Spelling. Although Malibu Shores only survived for eight episodes, Susan found other jobs in such films as _Poison Ivy: The New Seduction (1997)_, and she even worked with Spelling, again, in the daytime soap "Sunset Beach" (1997). Next, Susan starred in the thriller The In Crowd (2000) released in August 2000 and has recently appeared in _Would I Lie to You? (2002)_.
Became good friends with actress Charisma Carpenter after both were turned down for the role of "Maggie Cory on the soap "Another World" (1964).Auditioned for a role on "Dawson's Creek" (1998).The cities where she lived: Till she was 13 she lived with her parents at their farm in Monroe. Then the next 6 years she was living alone in New York for much of the year. In December 1995 she moved in Los Angeles for 3 months to do "Malibu Shores" (1996). In May 1996 she flew for 3 weeks in New Zealand to film an episode of _Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" (1995)_. She was there when she has been told that "Malibu Shores" was cancelled. She returned to New York soon after that and she started audition for another roles.Studies: Ouachita Parish High School in Monroe. The summer after her junior year, she changed schools. She went to River Oaks High School in Monroe. It is a fairly small private school. This is where she graduated from in 1994. She was on the junior high school dance/drill team. They were called the "Kit-Kats". She also attended Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe for a semester. She studied psychology. Susan wanted to become a veterinarian till she was 13-14 years old.Mad about animals: Susan has three cats: Velvet, Buffy and Sawyer. At her parents' farm in Monroe there are dogs, cats, exotic birds, even a baby monkey.
