If you had told this shy girl at the age of 10 that she would become an actress, she would have probably given you a small smile and finished quietly playing with her favorite Barbie, her Farrah Fawcett doll. Born in Tulsa, OK and raised in multiple Midwest locations, Anita Cordell is a one of a kind lady and a true example of a Midwest Charm. With only the connection to a Barbie doll, and her music performances as a child, her acting endeavors didn't truly begin until she was asked to be an angel in a 200 cast member play called Tribulation Christmas in the mid-90's. This small beginning spurred a desire in her and for the next decade, Anita pursued stage work, becoming a valuable actress in many plays performed with a traveling drama team. In 2006, she began pursuing film and commercial work and has gained the recognition of many Indie film makers and producers after just a short period of time. In 2008, she landed the opportunity to be in the recurring cast for the 3 Time Emmy Award Winning Steve & Kathy Show, produced out of Kansas City. She has also had key roles in award winning films such as Bonnie & Clyde vs. Dracula and the student film Alpha, Bravo, Charlie. After appearing in over 20 films, she recently landed one of the lead roles in an Indie film called Pitching Hope, directed by Tony Mendoza, an Army Soldier who filmed the movie shortly after returning from Afghanistan in early 2010. She is not only an exciting actress, but a dynamic individual that shines optimism. She has been asked to hold various speaking engagements and motivate others to pursue their goals and dreams.
