Kelly Lester is an actress, singer and "juggler": During the last two decades she has also been an entrepreneur, wife, and mother of three. A graduate of UCLA's theatre department, Kelly has appeared in dozens of plays and musicals in the Los Angeles area and on the east coast. Early work includes The Fantasticks opposite Tony- award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell and Grease, directed by Tony- award nominee Scott Ellis and choreographed by Tony- award winner Susan Stroman. She has played lead roles in world premieres of a number of musicals, including a new piece by Jeff Marx ("Avenue Q") and the musical adaptation of Jan Karon's best selling novel, "At Home In Mitford." Kelly left show business for almost twelve years to run her own highly-successful gift manufacturing business and raise her three young daughters. Her handcrafted home décor items were sold in hundreds of museum stores across the country. After selling that business in 2006, Kelly defied the old adage that 'there are no second acts'. Since returning to performing three years ago, she has appeared in a number of films and TV shows (including Criminal Minds and Notes from the Underbelly, directed by Barry Sonnenfeld). Kelly appears with symphony orchestras as a guest soloist (most recently in an evening devoted to the music of Richard Rodgers.) In her spare time, she enjoys listening to obscure musicals and has an obsession with graphic design (especially fonts). When not in front of the computer, Kelly can be found in the kitchen preparing healthy lunches and dinners for her family (though she hates to cook.) In addition to performing, she is the creator and CEO of EasyLunchboxes.com, helping families everywhere pack their lunch boxes fast, healthy, & green. Kelly is married to actor Loren Lester, who is currently recurring in the HBO series Hung.
