IMHO, one of the best 2 Monty Python films made (the other is Holy Grail). Luscious scenery ansd costumes, excellent filmwork, fine acting and a great script luckily don't hold back this hilarious "Sliding Doors" look at what might have happened if an ordinary person inadvertently became the Messiah. If you are easily offended and deeply religious, then you're probably not going to enjoy it, but otherwise it has some very funny digs at mob mentality, committees, prophets, and cheesemakers, to name a few. Spike Milligan and George Harrison have brief cameos, and a damn (oops!) good time is had by all... hopefully you too. I've watched it probably 15 times now and I still laugh out loud. If you like your humor silly - very silly - extremely silly, this is worth checking out. It is quite old (1979) but like a cheese, it ages well.
