Roberto Enrique is a singer, a songwriter, an actor, a student at UCLA and, yes, he assists in surgeries. At only 14, Roberto began his career singing regional Mexican songs. He created a solid background of vibrant musical roots that is reflected with his innovative style and sound which gave birth to his experience of performing in front of many diverse audiences, large and small. Also, Roberto is leaving his mark in the theater and on the big screen. Having began his acting career in the theater, he has worked in many professionally produced plays and musicals. One of them - Paquito's Christmas - was performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and the Pasadena Civic Center. He's starred in various feature and short films, from Nickelodeon's movie of the week The Brothers Garcia: Mysteries of the Maya (2003) (TV) to the Emmy award-winning short Pedazo de tierra, Un (2001). The short film Roam (2001) which received rave reviews at Sundance, won Roberto a nomination for best actor at the Pasadena based Methodfest. On television, he's co-starred in episodes of The Shield" (2003) and "Grounded for Life" (2004). In 2006, his new album will be released under his own production company, PlanetStar Productions, where he works alongside 2006 Grammy award-winning producer Ted Perlman. Fellow musician like Bill Hudson of the Hudson Brothers have commented in hearing Roberto's project and state that Roberto is bringing a "refreshing approach to the Latino Market". Indeed it may be, since Roberto has more than 200 live performances under his belt, ranging from solo singing venues to theatrical productions.
