This looks refreshingly new and interesting for a Star Wars fan like myself. I love the films (watched each too many times to count) and the Expanded Universe and I hope this film, as well as the series, can bring the Clone Wars to life. I disagree with those of you that feel it should be a live action film simply because I don't think all of the same actors could be persuaded to do the Clone Wars now that they've finished with Revenge of the Sith. So if the actors aren't the same the film/show really wouldn't be. It also opens Lucasarts to new possibilities and I think the unique graphics that are being presented can carry this new vision to a successful debut on the big screen as well as at home. To put it simply, keep your mind open and get ready to be amazed by this new innovative direction Star Wars is taking.

I am really disappointed in this film. I am an animator by trade and short of being a snob I would like to impart that this movie is bad. The story line is awful and the animation was an insult. This movie was made as an attempt to erase what cartoon network had already released as the clone wars saga. If you want a good star wars clone wars then I suggest you look into the 2d cartoon made for cartoon network. It was engaging and fulfilled what fans want to see from the star wars universe. This film is an insult and its interest is only after demeaning an already good story and selling merchandising. I said good day sir!!

How can you even rate this movie when it hasn't even came out yet....Don't say something is stupid or dumb when you haven't even seen it yet.

I'm not a die hard Star Wars fan. I married into the culture. SO when in Rome :) I thought it was good. As we walked out though I heard sounds of disappointment from the older fans. This movie was to hook a whole new group of kids to the life that is Star Wars. . So this is my review... Seeing anything on the big screen is fun. Kids who love Star Wars as mine do will love this.F.Y.I. boy and girl 10 and 13. If you are a fan who has read all the books and comics and really took the time to "study" Star Wars, you may walk out lacking something. My children did see the differences in the clone wars cartoons on dvd from this movie. I say see it but go to the early show and save a few bucks you might be ticked to spend $9 bucks on this one. FOR PARENTS Clone Wars is about the war and if your child is sensitive to that be aware no blood but a lot of clones get taken out.

Overall, this movie is decent. It does its job as serving as an intro to the series and its job as a standalone movie, but I think it does a better job as the former. The animation is great and original, something I have never seen before. The action is great and engrossing and by the last third of it, I was literally asking for a break. The music is original and fits well, but barely any John Williams. The plot is cohesive and does fairly in holding up the movie as if it was "stand alone". The Anakin-Ahsoka dynamic works well and the clones have a better role, but, this leads to decreased roles in other important characters in the movie. Really, this movie could use another half hour in running time (it comes in at 98 min.), it would totally strengthen the movie and make it better. Once you accept this movie for what it is and get rid of your preconceived notions, you will like this movie.
