saw it at sundance film festival, went the waitlist route to get tickets about two hours, wasn't worht the wait

best easton ellis film - better than less than, better than psycho. powerful, intense made so by amazing acting from mickey, kim, winona, billy bob, jon foster and AMBER HEARD. yow. its the big 80s. amazing soundtrack.

Awful piece of work! Easton Ellis's work seems very dated and the acting was at best average to below average. The younger cast was terrible! Chris Issak may have given the best performance in the work of c**p! I grew up in the 80's and loved Less than zero and even laughed through American Psycho, but this movie was absolutely nothing!

I grew up on the east coast but born the last day of '79. This was a great depiction of early 80's L.A....from the drugs and sex, to the music and fashion. The movie was entertaining although the ending could have been a bit better. The various perspectives on family life fall outs was intense. I went to see the movie because of the cast more so than the plot itself, and to see Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger in an 80's themed flick was awesome to see.
