Storyline:
Brüno is a gay Austrian fashion guru. He has his own fashion based television show, Funkyzeit, the most popular German-language show of its kind outside of Germany. After he disgraces himself in front of his Funkyzeit fan base, he is ruined in German speaking Europe. He decides that in his quest for worldwide fame, he will move to Los Angeles and reinvent himself. Accompanying him to the US is Lutz, his former assistant's assistant. Lutz is the only person left in his circle that still believes in Brüno's greatness. Brüno goes through one reinvention of himself after another, ultimately straying to areas far removed from his own self. Perhaps when Brüno finds an activity that he truly does love, he will also find that über-fame he so desperately desires.

You've most likely seen Borat, SBC's first outrageous flick... now imagine that only more offensive. Although this film has hilarious scenes with unimaginable acts of homosexuality and real life scenarios torn to shreds, I can guarantee the faint at heart will not appreciate the movie for what it's worth. Sascha does a great job acting as homosexual fashion model Bruno, and goes above and beyond to get the most out of everyday peoples reactions. The plot isn't too vast or extraordinary, but let's be honest, if you are seeing this movie for the plot you don't know what type of actor Sascha Baron Cohen is. All in all, it's a funny film and every scene will get a, "I can't believe they just did that" out of you. If you are open minded, a fan of Borat, or just want something completely crazy, go see Bruno and you won't be disappointed.

I went to the midnight premiere of Bruno with a friend of mine and I have to admit I had low expectations for it. However, Bruno was absolutely freaking hilarious!!! From the opening music to the end credits of the movie I was laughing the whole time. I was thoroughly impressed the film and actually would like to go see it a second time, but if not I'll definitely be buying the DVD release! I must say I'm really surprised that this movie didn't get an NC-17 rating, but whatever. Note: Some parts of film are quite "revealing" so parents I wouldn't be taking my kids to this one if I were you...

Point blank: this movie is hilarious. Never once did I stop laughing. Whether from the sheer stupidity of SBC's actions as the fabulous Bruno or because of the fashionista's infamous jokes, entertainment is entertainment. Of course some parts were inappropriate for the younger folk, but it's rated R. I mean no offense to anyone by saying this but do people normally take their children to R rated movies and expect rainbows and butterflies rather than sex, drugs, and nude people? Whether it's rated R or NC17 (does it matter? it's still too old for your children), you still don't have room to complain about the vulgar nature because of your ignorance towards the man's acting, etc. Everyone knows Sasha as Borat. And to me, that's warning enough. I thought this mockumentary of Mr. Cohen's was brilliant, witty, & wild... way better than Borat. Filled with incredible situations that make you want to pee your pants from laughing so hard. Forget what you've heard and create your own opinion.

I can see how people don't like the movie - with all the nudity, graphic sex scenes, oh and, if you're like the rest of America, because the star of the movie is GAY. This was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen - and guess what? I'm gay! If you really think about the message, this movie was brilliant. It showed how much America still has not accepted gay people. It was incredible to see how mean and nasty people get towards gay people. It's almost like they think that homosexuals carry a disease and they're going to catch it. The worst part of the movie was that it was only an hour and twenty minutes. I would have loved to see more interviews. If male nudity is not for you, then don't see it. On that note, why is it that male nudity in a movie about a gay male makes people so uncomfortable? We've all seen movies with female nudity and I don't see all the "OH NO!" ratings that Bruno has received. Just something to ponder...

I bet anyone who is familiar with my reviews, especially my two fans, would never think I'd sit through Bruno. But I did! Bruno is the most foul movie I've ever seen, it has the most craziest obscene things you could think of. Yet, in that mess, its so hilariously funny, I couldn't stop myself from crying a few times. Bruno was just as good, I personally say better, than Borat. It has a lot of real people that are pretty crazy themselves, but they ALL know Bruno is definitely wacko. Cohen did the performance of his life as he brought together a character that goes against so much that a normal person would stand for that he really had to work Bruno. Its Rated R for a reason XD.There are so many scenes of different situations Bruno is put in, I can't begin to start at which one was the weirdest. Lets just say the little dude he has "fun" with near the beginning was very eye opening, or closing ;). Anyone who even has the nerve to want to see this, WILL LOVE IT! GOOD MOVIE, go see it
