Karan at his best. WATCH!!!

Incredible Romantic Acting Superb touching

I was looking forward to seeing this movie for a while. I thought the subject matter would be engaging and I was interested to see how it would be handled from an international perspective. I'm a new Shah Rukh Khan fan and have only ever seen him in roles where he's a romantic lead so I wasn't sure if he could really pull this off but I thought he did a truly excellent job. I kept waiting to see traces of Shah Rukh on the screen but never did - I really believed in and loved Rizvan. The first half is lovely - the relationship between Shah Rukh and Kajol's characters is very sweet and engaging. It's worth seeing just for their performances. The second half is where it goes a little wrong. There are a few choices that seem inappropriate and they pull you out of the film. Particularly for US audiences there is once scene that is really cringe-worthy. Overall though I really enjoyed the 80% of film that I found to be beautiful and I think it had a really wonderful message. See it
