Storyline:
In Manhattan, twenty-two year-old Harvard lawyer Emilia Greenleaf has a crush on her boss, Jack Woolf, and they have an affair. Jack's marriage is a sham but his son, William, is his pride and joy. Emilia soon discovers she's pregnant, and Jack divorces his wife, Carolyn, in order to marry her. His son is poisoned against the partnership by his mother, and resented by his stepmother. Emilia, who has issues with her womanizer father, delivers Isabel but the baby dies. The marriage begins to suffer and William unexpectedly steps in to help.

This movie was really, really bad. The story was slow, annoying to follow, not funny at all and it seemed to ramble on and on. It was hard to tell if it was a comedy or a drama. There was really no chemistry between the Jake and Anne. It was just a poorly written story that didn't seem to know what it wanted to be. Don't waste your time.

Story wasn't really sure what it wanted to be. If there wasn't so much put into the nudity and sexual situations,raunch etc. , it could have been a touching,if predictable story.

The previews for this movie made it seem like it would be funny, like a romantic comedy. However, this movie was sad and depressing. The only funny parts were the few you saw in the previews. The acting was good and Jake shirtless was a plus, but other than that, I didnt care for it.

The shame comes in a story that could have had heart and been informative. But the decision to make it so blatantly pornographic took credence away. Watching both leads,towards the end,you could see more talent...but when they just rely on nudity and sex,quality is lessened. Not coming from a 'prude',or uptight chick-just from one half of a fun and sexy couple who know right and wrong. Pornography is a disease in this country,and Hollywood pushing the envelope in what is acceptable for public audiences has contributed mightily. Please consider this honestly.

Although the film starts off sharp, about 1/2 way through, it bogs down into a "Love Story" revisited, this time with plenty of nudity and f-words, semicomedy. The film becomes so implausible that listing the unrealistic elements could take all morning. Anne Hathaway is emotional and has a nice body, but it's not sufficient to see this film. It's interesting how a film with so much nudity is so unsexy.
The director who has made so many great films and television shows should be ashamed to put his name on this 2010 tripe.
