This movie was hilarious!

Grab your girlfriends and go see this movie. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going to see it with a boyfriend--because it might be a little weird or embarrassing. Definitely DON'T go see it with your parents, and you may even want to leave the husband at home, too. It isn't that it is a "chick flick," but it's more that you'll want to be with other women when you see it. There are TONS of dirty parts (no nudity), but bad language and verrrry adult themes. I LOVED it and am taking my best gal friend back to see it a second time. Oh, and Gerard Butler is the 40-year old version of Edward Cullen. 'Nuff said. :)

Though I love Katherine Heigel and Gerard Butler, this movie was trying too hard and was just not funny. I think I heard a chuckle or two at the premier. Just lots of crude humor... mostly just a lot of stupid, crass comments between coworkers. And an unrealistic and overly predictable story line. For $9.00 at the box office, I was really hoping for something a little more from these two. At least we all know now that Katherine Heigel does have the ability to cuss and make crude and inappropriate remarks. Now, on with the show.

Last night I attended the advance VIP press preview of this OVER-INFLATED CONTRIVED VULGAR SEXIST CRASS 1.5hr 'comedy'. Can you imagine the sheer amount of BLATANT PROFANITY that is required for a 'romantic-comedy' to earn a R-rating??? The PREDICTABLE awful plot - full of COPY-CAT cliches - is absolutely VILE in both delivery and whatever passes for CRUDE humor - degrades women and promotes workplace sexual harassment. Both Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler suffered from serious cases of TRYING-WAY-TOO-HARD. There was nothing natural about their CONTRIVED OVER-ACTING. Whatever happened to INTELLIGENT comedies? A comedy DOES NOT need constant barrage of profanity to elicit laughs! THE UGLY TRUTH has stooped to a all-time new low. To be blunt - THE UGLY TRUTH is TOO UGLY for kids and families. VERDICT: Avoid this movie like the plague - or it's your money and time wasted. I'm GLAD I DID NOT pay nor waste my hard-earned $$ on crap like this! GRADE: D-for DUMB.
