Storyline:
A bomb-sniffing beagle is fired from the mayor's office for a faux pas. That night a mad scientist dognaps him and injects him with an elixir. The dog escapes, but now has superpowers. He's adopted by a security guard - an ex-cop, who's a widower with a moody teen son, Jack. The boy discovers that the dog, named Shoeshine by dad, has super powers, but it's their little secret. While Underdog saves people in distress, the mad scientist and his underling continue their plot to catch him and take over the city. There's also a girl Jack likes who has a dog that Shoeshine takes a shine to. Will every dog have his day?

Yes, it's about time Disney has turned a popular '60s cartoon show into a live-action movie. Our canine hero has finally come torescue from the evil clutches of Simon Von Sinister, his dumb-witted assisstant Cad, and Riff-Raff I remeber watching Underdog while I was a kid, along with Tennessee Tuxedo, Go Go Gophers, Klondike Kat & Commander McBragg. Underdog happens to be my favorite cartoon characters. Jason (My Name is Earl) Lee does a fine job playing the movie's title character & his alter-ego, Shoeshine Boy.it also features Amy Adams as Sweet Polly Purebred, and Brad Garrett as Riff-Raff. It also co-stars Peter Dinklage as Simon Von Sinister, & Ptrick Warburton as Cad. Anyway, Don't take my word. No Plane, No Bird. No Frog. It's just me (Crash)... Underdog.

I saw previews when I went to see the Simpsons with my son. I thought to myself - "well, I don't think we'll see that one. Looks dumb." My 7 year-old-son asked to go with his friend, same age. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't a "dumb" movie after all. It started right away and kept me interested and the two boys as well.
I'd say go see it with your kids..... And it brought me back to my "youth" when I actually watched "Underdog"....

2 adults and 2 children, 5 and 15 went to see this movie. We didn't expect alot, but it was great. We laughed and all of us loved it. The 5 year old stayed interested all the way to the end. For him that's alot.
