I loved this movie and so did my 10 year old son. I can't wait for my other children to see it. I don't think it should be compared to Narnia (slow moments) or Potter (emotional teenage moments). This movie was non-stop action with great characters. Younger children may find it scary - more than once I wanted to yell out "Look Out!! Hit It!!" I would definitely recommend for all thrill seekers small and large.

Me and my girls just went and saw it and it was worth the wait. my one daugther read the books and loved the movie. i wouldnt recommend for like yong kis cause there was a pretty active fight scene but over all the effects/story/and acting was wll done. i hope they make another,, we wills ee this one again in a few weeks after the buzz settles down.

I did not know what to expect upon taking my seat to view this movie(having only seen a trailer once before on my PS3),so all I wanted was enough entertainment to justify the nearly $15 spent for a ticket. Turns out it was more than worth the money. Everything about this movie was enjoyable,from the smart writing/acting to the special effects(the sound effects deserve specific mention too). The story was on the money, with just a touch of every emotion you would need for a fantasy like this to flow properly. There are laughs and frights to be had throughout this feature,and I'm very proud to say that you can bring the children with you for this one ! The only real complaint I had with the film is that it seemed a little too short,mainly because of how much fun I had watching what there was. I would give this movie "Two Thumbs Up" but I'm not trying to have Ebert and Roper severing those most-important appendages of mine from their homes! I'll just say go see it,and decide for yourself!

Have to say this filled my appetite for fanatsy, thriller, drama, and everything else you could think of. I liked how the kids played the part, and the characters were engaging and truly believable. I liked the emotional roller coaster I was forced thru like a worm hole due to the addictive plot! Any fantasy fanatic would definetely admit, this one was right up there with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

I seen a screening last night at a manhattan theatre! The movie was enjoyable it was no harry potter or chronicles of narnia but it is in its own right a good m,ovie. Although the mopvie is not as dark and literally "magic" but it has its alternate perception of our world, not a new world in itself like in the other movies. I liked that this was a little more believeable and the acting made the storyline more believeable and also i enjoyed the comedic aspects as opposed to the do-or-die potter movies. The movie was clever and the acting sold the script. go see with the family!
