I've never read the book, but i thought it was witty, interesting and entertaining. Don't walk in and expect to see "fight club" because they are completely different types of films, but 'Choke" really pulls through nicely. Different, but still amazing. This is Clark Gregg's directorial debut and he pulls it off seamlessly. Go see this movie, you will love it.

As an avid reader of Chuck Palahniuk, I have read the novel Choke twice. I enjoyed the movie thoroughly and look forward to seeing it again. It has a few moments that will have you rolling if you are into this kind of humor. For many seeing it on a whim, it may be not add up to what you expect, but I suggest everyone, reader or not, gives this movie a try.

I will tell you this Ive read lullaby, fight club, haunted, but not choke i can never find time to read any more so i went to see the movie. it was very vulgar but it was funny, i laughed. overall if you take anything personal or feel uncomfortable when a sex scene pops up which is like every 7 to ten min maybe sooner..................then don't see it, its more for people with a sense of humor.....well overall don't say i didn't warn you either his books are known for being bizarre in twisted in some ways

Chuck Palahnuik is such a talented writer and the director did not let any of chuck;s fans down. I'll admit, the new ending is disappointing but overall the movie is fantastic. That could have something to do with the fact that it was almost straight from the book adaption, but why not when you have such great source material? For all the action whores out there who just want to see it because you were mesmerized by all the anarchy and blood and violence in fight club, please do everyone a favor and just stay home, smoke a joint and watch the Big Lebowski. If you have read the book or if you just appreciate his style of writing, I think you will appreciate this finely produced movie. And the director was hilarious.

I saw a sneak screening of Choke, followed by Q&A with the producer of the movie. Choke was absolutely FANTASTIC. I have yet to see such outrageous humor successfully executed on the big screen without redundancy. Even though some parts flirted with the line between raunchy and disturbing, the balance was perfectly maintained. For Chuck Palaniuk fans: although there are a few small plot points that vary, Choke stays pretty close to the text of the book. The ending however, is different, but still good. According to the producer, Chuck was pleased with the ending and felt that it was possibly stronger in making his point. But that is up in the air for you to decide. Get excited for its release!
