After creating some of the hottest music videos for several top artists, Geo Santini packed his bags and moved from New York City to Los Angeles, to fulfill his next goal - to become a filmmaker. Santini's gamble quickly paid off, as the young director is preparing to begin production on his first feature film-which boasts an impressive list of top producers and actors. Santini's infectious passion to succeed quickly caught the attention of movie executives. Geo Santini's passion for music and film began at an early age. Inspired by the sights and sounds of his native Philadelphia, his favorite films, and his favorite musicians, Santini imagined scenes for movies and music videos in his mind's eye. Determined to become skilled at what he felt was his destined career path, Geo moved to New York at the age of 17 to pursue his college education. By the time he reached his sophomore year of college, Santini had already learned to successfully combine music and film, adding his own unique style to the art of production. As a result, he landed his first directing project - a music video for up-and-coming reggae artist Lexxus. Although only presented with a 1,500 budget and a two-man crew for the video shoot, Santini successfully handled the production of the music video with the skill of an industry veteran. The video became an instant success in the Caribbean, remaining at the top of the music charts for ten weeks in a row. Due to the success of the music video, Lexxus was able to secure a record deal with the major reggae record label, VP Records. Santini's success with Lexxus earned him credibility among many hip-hop artists and spawned his career as a Director. Santini went on to direct videos for many major hip hop artists and companies, including: Arista; Universal Music Group; Motown Records and More. Santini's ability to tell stories using vivid imagery and edgy content, while intertwining complex shots into each frame gives him a unique, and sought after style. Watching one of Santini's videos is like watching a mini-movie. Following his desire to create feature films, Geo Santini recently relocated from New York to Los Angeles to begin working on feature films. Santini's work in conjunction with Alliance Entertainment Group has been so impressive that one of his film shorts-Hotel California is being turned into a feature film - which is scheduled for production in Spring of 2006. In addition, he is currently in production on a second film, Locker 541 - which is already garnering major buzz just from the script. As he branches out to fulfill his dream of directing feature films, Geo continues to create outstanding music videos. Most recently Santini directed the controversial music video "Jim and Eileen" from upcoming artist Blaque Orchid. The video stars actor Roberto Miano (Donnie Brasco, Sopranos) and MTV's newest edition Sam Sarpong. Additionally, Santini acted as the Second Unit Director for Cuban Lynx's video featuring Mya. With an already-impressive slate of projects under his belt, and even more in development, Geo Santini is set to be one of Hollywood's top filmmakers.
