Nominated for a 2011 Leo Award for Best Performance by a Female in a Short Drama. Meeshelle Neal has been acting since a very young age, when she landed the lead role of Mrs. Big Toe in an elementary production. Years later she took a leap of faith and moved across the ocean from small-town Victoria, to big city Vancouver, British Columbia, to pursue acting as a career. From 2007-2008 Michelle studied full-time at School Creative, on a prestigious scholarship, where she received great acclaim and instruction from some of the industry's top professionals: Sarah-Jane Redmond, Stellina Rusich, Nathaniel Deveaux, Trish Allen, Gabriel Carter, Tobias Mehler, Henry Mah, Liz McLaughlin and Linda Darlow.
For the first time in School Creative's history, as a student, she was paired with a teacher, Linda Darlow, in a scene from Collected Stories, for Michelle's first level graduation showcase.Nominated for a 2011 Leo Award for Best Performance by a Female in a Short Drama.Nominated for a Leo for best actress.
