W. D. Hogan is a filmmaker who began as a storyboard artist on New Line's "Mortal Kombat." He worked on films such as "Jerry Maguire," "Shadow of the Vampire" and "Devil" to "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World" and the upcoming "Riddick." In 2005, Hogan made his directorial debut with "Soldier of God," an award winning feature set in the Crusades. After directing episodic for Fox and collaborating on "The Matrix: Path of Neo" for Warner Bros., Hogan delved into science-fiction with "Behemoth" (2011) "Earth's Final Hours" (2012) and "The Fourth" (2013) for SyFy, NBC/Universal.
First job in film was a Grip on the WGBH production "Big Time" in Boston, MA, starring Mia Sara and Adrian Pasdar.Attended the Northside School of the Arts in Atlanta, GA and was part of Tourshow, a Coca-Cola sponsored performance that toured the world.Hogan was a military brat, born at the Irish Army Hospital on the base in Fort Knox, KY.Storyboarded hundreds of commercials and music videos which led to first professional directing job from Chris Robinson and Robot Films, a documentary on Dreamworks' recording artist "4th Avenue Jones".Storyboarded the Snoop Dogg/Pharrell music video "Beautiful" while in Rio de Janeiro with Robot Films.
