Angourie Rice is a young actress who began her career in Perth, Western Australia. She comes from a theatrical family: she is the daughter of actress and award -winning playwright Kate Rice (aka Kate Atcheson) and director Jeremy Rice (Trapped, Pacific Drive). Angourie has appeared in numerous short films and television commercials shot in Perth, Western Australia. She attended the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in New York for her performance in the short film 'Transmission', written and directed by Zak Hilditch and produced by Liz Kearney. Angourie's sister Kalliope Rice is also an actress. They featured together in a television commercial for Muzz Buzz coffee and both girls featured with their mother in a long-running road-safety television commercial - 'Distracted Drivers are Dangerous' in Western Australia. In 2011 Angourie featured in a national television commercial for Chevron's 'We Agree' campaign.
