Lorena Fernández Carrillo is an actress originally from Spain that now is living and working in Santa Fe, NM. She studied Film and Art History at the University of Granada (Spain) and she went on to study Acting with Miguel Rellán, Carmelo Gómez and Cristina Rota in Granada and Madrid before deciding to come to New Mexico. In New Mexico Lorena Fernández has taken part in Robert Redford's film school, Milagro at Los Luceros. She is also working in independent film in New Mexico and doing theater at El Museo Cultural and Teatro Paraguas in Santa Fe. Christopher Lloyd, Vanja Aljinovich, Wendy Chapin, Robert Benedetti and Eb Lottimer have been some of her teachers. After she was an actress in movies such as "Odd Thomas", directed by Stephen Sommers, and "Just like a woman", directed by Rachid Bouchareb, Lorena Fernández discovered that she can also write and direct. Her first movie "Dance of the Books" is getting some important acknowledgments around the world.
