Nate began acting in 2008, finding a passion for it while attending Ipswich Grammar School from 2003 - 2007. His original intention was to study Drama alongside Film & Television at the University of Queensland but decided to explore other avenues after he realised that studying there wasn't in his best interests if he was to pursue acting as a career. He then attended Queensland Actors Playhouse from 2009 - 2010, experiencing the Meisner technique for the first time.

Nate is an avid martial artist, training in Shukokai Karate achieve a 1st Kyu Brown Belt, and practices Capoeira with Amir Solsky.Has a musical theatre background, performing at Ipswich Grammar School from 2003 - 2007.
