Torn between cardiology and acting, Jodie made her decision after receiving early acceptance and a hefty scholarship to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. At seventeen, she packed her bags, and moved from New Bedford, MA to New York City to study acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory program. Jodie thrives on playing fiery, fearless and foxy women. She has played leading roles Off-Broadway and in workshops of new musicals and plays at the York Theatre, New World Stages, Workshop Theater and all over NYC. But once she landed a recurring role on "One Life to Live", her on- camera career in commercials, TV, and Film began. Jodie is also a Film producer. In October 2007, she used her talent in Sales & Marketing to co-found The Savvy Actor, Inc. with business partner Kevin Urban. Their bi-coastal business educates actors on building a business plan through Branding, Marketing and Sales fundamentals. Jodie has taught at many colleges and has coached over a thousand clients to become savvy actors. The Savvy Actor Career Manual, the first ever business plan for an actor, is now sold internationally. Along the way, she married a fellow co-star along her journey, Michael Schaefer. The two were engaged in April in Paris back in 2004 and married a year later in Central Park's Conservatory Garden.
