Rob was born in Astoria, Queens and started taking acting classes as a freshman at Hunter College. Encouraged by his teacher, Michael Ruttenberg, Rob decided to start going on auditions and pursuing roles outside of Hunter's theater department. Several TV and film roles later, Rob was offered to sign with several agencies, but decided to further his acting training with Bill Esper at the William Esper Studio. Rob founded Pushed Envelope Productions in 2010, an independent entertainment production company, where he has produced, directed and starred in several highly-acclaimed films and television projects. Rob launched Rob Alicea Production on December 11, 2014 and has expanded production beyond television and film to now also radio. Trains various forms of martial arts, including Capoeira with Grupo Capoeira Brasil, Jiu-Jistu at the Renzo Gracie Academy and American Boxing with trainer, Dennis Toral. Practices vinyasa yoga.
