Gary Weeks was raised in Morris, Georgia, attended the University of Georgia and Georgia State University's film school before moving to Los Angeles in late 1999. He credits his positive work ethic to his family and the people who surrounded him as he grew up... Gary is also an avid writer, (has written many feature screenplays including 29 Reasons to Run (2006) and Deadland (2009), poetry, and shorts). A die-hard athlete and sports-fan, he loves baseball, playing basketball, and Georgia Bulldogs football. His brother is singer/songwriter Tony Weeks.
Brother of Tony Weeks and Sherri Toney.He was an All-State Football player and 2-time Basketball State Champion in high school.Gary (lead actor) and cast shared the Award for Best Ensemble Cast at the 2006 Bare Bones International Film Festival for their performances in '29 Reasons to Run'.Won numerous Awards in 2006-2007, including 4 Best Features, for his screenwriting debut '29 Reasons to Run'.Awarded "Best Original Screenplay" (for Deadland) at the 2009 SOAPIFF."Best Actor" Winner for his work in "Deadland" at the 2009 Southern Appalachian International Film Festival.
