Honestly, I had low expectations for this movie...HOWEVER, BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!!!!!!! For those people who are all spazzing about TWILIGHT, how about watch Ninja Assassin. NEW MOON WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT...Seriously the cast sucks, so I don't understand HOW New Moon is doing better than Ninja Assassin. >:[ Ninja Assassin was very good. The action was amazingly portrayed in this movie, and there was never a dull moment!! DEFINITELY MUST WATCH! I know I will again!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me be honest. I went to see the movie because I am a huge Rain fan and I couldn't let the opportunity of seeing him on the big screen pass me by. I wasn't expecting to enjoy the actual movie as much as I really did. The action scenes were done REALLY well! I absolutely cannot handle gore, but by the end of this movie, I became a hardcore fan of flying body parts, haha. From the beginning to end, the movie is packed with blood and action, and I think guys who thought this movie would be stupid will be pleasantly surprised. It's an action movie; there is no love story between the two leads. That doesn't mean there's no show of passion on the "ninja's" part. The flashbacks of his past show a softer side to the character. The rest of the people in the theater seemed to really enjoy it too. The people next to me were literally hanging on the edge of their seats towards the end of the movie and the audience actually clapped at the end. The most surprising part? No Asians there.

This movie was bloody, violent, dark, and almost completely devoid of a plot. In other words, everything I went to see it for. What is especially commendable is what this movie didn't have... it didn't try to shoehorn in a love story, or a story of redemption, or anything else to try and be more than it is... a gory movie about ninjas cutting people in half (and apparently an epidemic of people being born with backwards internal organs, but whatever).

This sets the bar for all ninja movies. Non stop action and the gore factor is up there, so definitely not for the squeamish. Not too many movies are worth the $10.50 or more you are forced to pay now a days but this one definitely is.
