HORRIBLE...Simply Horrible. My going experience was fun, but the movie itself was purely trash. I'm surprised the children in the theatre were entertained. I for one will not recommend seeing this movie to any of my friends who are Dragonball Fans. The movie did no justice, other than getting a couple of names right, and that's it. Too choppy, and too teenage love fling plot. HORRIBLE!

I just saw this movie no more than 20mins ago. I had a bad feeling from the start when i saw the first preview, my worst fears were realized within the first 10mins and i do not lie. The movie truly did not follow any of the story line those who comment on how there were "Minor changes to the story" are wayyyy off. what similatries are there??? the names are right most of the backgrounds fit the story, but saiyans and namekians are suggested to have worked together when in reality they had never encountered eachother untill the DBZ series when Piccolo fights Radizs. I grew up on this show i loved this show and now i feel as tho my heart and soul are gone because that is what they took out of this movie. This may seem weird to most people but to thoese who grew up with the show they know how i feel. All i can say is start over again, forget this atroicy and begian anew with a DB movie that starts from the beginning and bring us the movie we have waited so long to see.

So from reading the reviews, DBZ fans seem to be dissapointed, but it seems like a lot of you aren't familiar with Dragon Ball. This movie is based on Dragon Ball, and it seems that the purpose of it's creation was to explain a lot about Dragon Ball in a short set of time for a general audience. The movie wasn't made so much for the fans as it was the general public. Alslo, they must have had a fairly low budget considering the length of the film and the effects that went into it. But my girlfriend who never watched Dragon Ball anything, actually enjoyed the movie even though she thought she wouldn't. In conclusion, they did seemed to do their job of making it a general audience movie, and hopefully they continue with the Saiyajin Saga and maybe they will have the budget to make it longer and more fan oriented. P.S. My personal biggest pet peeve is that Goku didn't have a tail, the Nimbus Cloud, or the Nyoi-bou (Monkey Staff). Because Goku is based on the legend of the Monkey King.

anyone who has any idea of what dragon ball is knows that this is not even close to it, totally disapointed

OKAY LOOK, I MYSELF have been a fan of dragon ball since the beginning, i've seen the series countless times over and over again. Now as a real fan, I walk in the movie theatre with this in my head "THIS MOVIE IS GONNA BE LAME" nothing can be compared to the real series come on guys....WHY EVEN EXPECT? IF U EXPECT DRAGON BALL, GO WATCH THE ANIME for f*** sake. i walk out in the theatre "HMMM NOT BAD" and it just made me think back to the old school days :P aahhh i loveeee my DB/DBZ/DBGT NOW Y'ALL WATCH SO WE CAN EXPECT A BETTER SEQUEL.
