fans might not like some changes, but overall in my opinion I say director James Wong and cast crew, film special effects crew etc etc did a damn good job, after watching this film I felt pretty good, Looking forward to the sequel. Wondering how would Wong approach bringing back Piccolo in the sequel and would he bring Sayians for the next installment? if fans are dissapointed with the looks maybe in the next movie they will work on that more but good job Wong and cast.

If you do decide to go see this movie, please watch it with a very open mind. If you are a big Dragonball or Dragonball Z fan, then you will be disappointed. From the cheesy acting to the horrible special effects, this movie is a let down from every aspect. I hope they start over as the name Dragonball deserves much more than what this movie delivered. With the CGI technology out today and the effects that I have seen in other movies, they should have put more effort and time into making this movie. I did find the movie entertaining at times, thats why I said that you would have to watch this movie with a very open mind. But, this movie doesn't capture the essence of Dragonball in any way. BTW.. the Kamaha-maha wave (if you can call it that) SUCKED!!!!!!

I have loved Dragonball Z since I was about 14 years old. I am now a 28 year old Screenwriter who has grown up (just a little) but still loves when my old childhood past times are turned into GREAT Live Action master pieces (Transformers). I am sure someone who watched just a few episodes wouldn?t find any reason why some of us find the original cartoon so epic. The horrible racist depictions of minorities, long drawn out silly dialogues would certainly not win any academy awards or popularity contest (and for good reason). However minus those big negatives the world that was created was/is so original, the superpowers so powerful, and the fights were so captivating that we ignored the negatives and kept on watching. The Dragonball Evolution Movie seems it was made as if they figured the original fans have long died off and all that was left is their great, grandchildren. To be honest they should have just called it Power Rangers Evolution.

this was a very stupid movie. i am a big fan of dragon ball z, and i really wanted this movie to be good, but it was not. the acting was horrible. the CGI was very bad. sadly this is a movie to laugh at with some friends. you cant take it seriously. its just really bad. but one thing that i did like about it was the fight scene at the end with Piccolo and Goku. that was the only good thing about this movie.

I didnt like the person who played Goku or Yamcha they didnt portray the characters well at all. and Bulma and and Master Roshi's characters were bad as well. and even though no one ever really knew Grampa Gohan he was possibly the only good actor they actually had. and Piccolo is one or my favorite characters but just no. and what was with his outfit...My brother made a piccolo outfit like 9 years ago out of sheets and he looked like a better piccolo and he didnt pant him face green. worst movie of the year it killed the anime. I've been a db and dbz fan since the age of 6 its been 14 years so the past 4 days i've been watching the series over the try to forget the most horrendous movie ever.
