Storyline:
At the edge of adolescence, Tracy is a smart straight-A student--if not a little naive (it seems...she smokes and she cuts to alleviate the emotional pain she suffers from having a broken home and hating her mom's boyfriend, Brady.) When she befriends Evie, the most popular and beautiful girl in school, Evie leads Tracy down a path of sex, drugs and petty crime (like stealing money from purses and from stores). As Tracy transforms herself and her identity, her world becomes a boiling, emotional cauldron fueled by new tensions between her and her mother--as well as, teachers and old friends.

An entertaining movie for my husband and I to enjoy with our 2 sons, 14 and 21.We weren't expecting anything more than a likable cast of rogues involved in a predictable heist. but the motivation for the crime revealed a softer side of the 13 that exceeded simple personal greed. Al Pacino's believability as a dishonest backstabber had us cheering for his downfall. The brief promise of a sexual encounter as a diversion during the casino take-over is inappropriate for younger teens and all children. Enough new high tech devices, surprise characters and unexpected turn of events held our attention without making the plot too complicated to grasp. Meets criteria for "yes I would go again with a friend who hadn?t seen it" summer show.

This is the best Ocean's movie to come out of the three. Great acting and many laughs by some of the biggest actors in the industry, plus the revenge aspect makes it even better. Even if you hated the first two (11-12) you will love this one!

If you loved "Oceans 11" but hated "Ocean's 12" like I did, you'll be happy to know that "Ocean's 13" brings back much of the fun that made "11" so enjoyable. The boys are back together and back in Vegas, which right off the bat is a big plus. A fun popcorn movie, this "Oceans" installment revolves around a "revenge heist" as payback for wrongdoings to one of Ocean's own. The dialog is great, and the repartee between Clooney and Pitt is, as usual, silly and fun. They work so well together, and the little nods to their real lives, which are reported so extensively in People Magazine and on gossip blogs everywhere, made me chuckle. In addition, the rest of Ocean's crew have their hilarious moments (Casey Affleck and Scott Caan crack me up) that were so lacking in "12", and the addition of Garcia to the crew and his reaction to Bank's (Pacino) downfall is priceless. So many fun little twists and turns made this just a mindlessly fun and enjoyable flick.

The Oceans franchise, like McDonalds is always consistently mediocre. However, compared to Pirates, Oceans looks like Gone With the Wind. What next? ... Oceans 14 will have Robert De Niro building a moat around his new "Casino Greed," with carniverous fish guarding the Casino. George Clooney will then appear on water skis and "jump the shark". Time to hang em' up guys.
