Storyline:
FIX takes you from Beverly Hills to Watts, and places in between, in one day, as documentary filmmakers Bella and Milo race to get Milo's brother Leo from jail to rehab before 8pm, or Leo goes to prison for three years. Inspired by true events, we follow the trio as they document their trip from a suburban police station in Calabasas through mansions in Beverly Hills, East LA chop-shops, rural wastelands, and housing projects in Watts as they attempt to raise the $5,000 required to get Leo into the rehab clinic. Along the way the audience meets dozens of colorful characters, each with their own anomalous perspective on Leo's larger than life personality and style, and each with their own excuse for why they cannot help out. In the end, it may take a drug deal to get the necessary funds for rehab.

It is very disturbing that oil from the BP disaster is still leaking into the Gulf of Mexico and the company has covered it up by spraying the hightly toxic Corexit to sink it to the bottom and disperse it. Scientist Ed Overton found a chemical signature to newly polluting oil in the Gulf, although the movie was completed before this happened a couple months ago. WHERE IS THE MEDIA....Contaminated seafood is being eaten, thousands poisoned, etc. Cannes film festival gave it an official selection, the only documentary, yet the movie has not recieved much help in distribution....big surprise.

This film is a must see!!! Americans will be blown away by the massive cover up by BP Oil company and top political leaders. The spill continues and the toxic spray used to disperse the oil to within the ocean so it is not visible continues. The oil and toxic spray are having devastating/deadly effects on human life and marine life. The oil and huge money payoffs keep politicians lying and coverups going on at night. A few brave souls risked their life to reveal these valuable secrets to all of us Americans who thought the oil and it's negative effects had gone away. Make no mistake-this effects all of us-not only those in the gulf area. You may be eating the fish that contains the oil and/or toxic spray because top officials (who were paid off by the oil company) gave the go-ahead that the fish was safe to eat-NOT!! Please go see this film-there is so much more. We need to do something about this together. Oh, and by the way-the music score is fantastic!!!

Saw it yesterday and I'm going to see it again today. "History has shown us that great change can take place when people realize the power they possess and unite to take a stand." "Are we willing to give up what we think is beautiful bc da#@ it we've got to get that #OIL!!?" #TheBigFix, a must see docu by #JoshuaTickell

Never before did I realize what exactly went down with the BP oil spill of 2010 - until watching this movie. This film gives you an up close and personal encounter with the 2010 BP Oil Spill cover-up that has affected hundreds of thousands of lives in the US. This movie shows evidence that the EPA (the people who should be protecting our health) actually allowed shrimp and seafood from the Gulf to be served all over the country, despite their oil saturated environment. Families along the Gulf Coast have fallen ill, motor functions debilitated, permanent respiratory problems, skin lesions..etc. - all the byproduct of BP’s “solution†to the Oil Spill. Instead of actually getting rid of the oil, BP masked the water’s oil surface appearance with Corexit 9500 (banned in all of Europe for its levels of toxicity). The music scoring in the film is phenomenal and the directors did an outstanding job keeping such an unknown topic so interesting and full of facts. Go see it!

Not only does the film expose all of BP's and the government's cover ups (like the fact that oil is still leaking in the Gulf of Mexico!!), but also, it's an amazingly engaging story. Don't miss it. It's Oscar worthy!
