Storyline:
Louise Harrington, a divorced, thirty-something admissions officer at Columbia University's School of Fine Arts is intelligent, pretty, and successful, yet unfulfilled. That is, until a graduate school application crosses her desk and she arranges to interview the young painter. When F. Scott Feinstadt appears, he bears an uncanny resemblance to Louise's high school boyfriend and one true love, an artist who died in a car accident twenty years earlier. Within hours of the interview, Louise and Scott have embarked on a passionately uninhibited older woman/younger man affair. But is Scott just a reminder of Louise's lost love? And is Scott just trying to wheedle his way into the Ivy League? Adding to the romantic complications is competition from Louise's best friend from high school, Missy, who shows up to claim the affections of the boy; Louise's co-dependent ex-husband Peter; her cynical mother and fresh-out-of-rehab brother.

even given the content i did not expect to encounter such an emotional rollercoaster of a movie. i laughed, i cried, and cried, and cried, but even all those napkins later (wasn't expecting so many tears), I felt uplifted. The relationships and dynamics between men and women, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, lovers and friends, were all fantasticly real. I would see it again in a heartbeat!

This movie sucked any and every tear my eyes can produce right out. I could NOT STOP crying!! It was the most beautiful love story ever. The way she loved him, then was just left alone. After he died, I started bawling every time it showed him on screen. I love how much they love each other! And this movie showed me that Hilary Swank can be REALLY cute! It was truly adorable. This movie couldn't get enough praises from me. Words cannot describe how it affected me and the way I look ay my relationship! I've learned to cherish every moment, because one day he might just be gone...

I really wanted to like P.S I Love You. It seemed to have all the elements for a great movie, so what happened? For one, the movie was much to long for the simple outline it seemed to follow. For two, the characters really seemed very boring. There was so much of this movie that simply could have been cut out. At points in the movie when it would flash back to the past there seemed not to be any real strong connection to the present which most of the movie is set in. I almost wanted to forget all about the present and know more about the past "Holly" & "Gerry" shared. I felt like at the point that "Gerry" dies, which is early on, so does also the movie. It just didn't seem to come to life although Hilary Swank really did her best to put forth the energy to do so. Overall I think this is more a movie to rent than to see in the theater.

This movie was even better than I expected...I cried from beginning to end because it was so sweet!! This movie broke my heart, but by the end you're crying because you're so happy for her. It is a MUST SEE for every girl...espeically if you need a good cry! ;o)

Aren't the tears don't come out until the end of the movie? Oh, no.. Make sure you bring an extra box of kleenex for this one. It is definatley a heart warming film with wonderful acting by Hillary Swank. You walk out of the theatre and catch yourself calling your spouse telling them, "PS I LOVE YOU". Definatley go! This is a good movie for Valentines Day.
